Velari Snaffle Double Jointed Loose Ring Sweet Iron - combines a double-jointed mouthpiece made from nickel-free Sweet Iron with freely moving loose rings. The mouthpiece lies softly curved over the tongue and distributes pressure evenly across the tongue and bars. The loose rings provide additional mobility and support a responsive, precise connection between the horse and the rider's hand.

The Sweet Iron mouthpiece naturally oxidises during use and develops a light patina over time. According to the manufacturer, this process encourages salivation and can support softer, more relaxed acceptance of the bit. The double-jointed construction also reduces the nutcracker effect associated with single-jointed mouthpieces and follows the shape of the horse's mouth more evenly.

By reducing upward movement towards the roof of the mouth, the double-jointed construction is also suitable for horses with a lower palate according to the manufacturer. The loose rings allow the mouthpiece to move freely, can encourage light chewing activity and support a flexible, responsive connection.
