Inno Sense Hackamore Combi Long Flexi Soft - The Inno Sense Flexi Soft mouthpieces are made from elastic plastic material, which is really flexible. Inside is a flexible metal core. The flexibility makes it an overall very friendly bit which is accepted really well by most horses. The Inno Sense Flexi Soft is not as suitable for very strong horses.
Inno Sense Bits
The Inno Sense collection kann be used for all types of horses, but are very suitable for young horses, as well as those that are very sensitive in the mouth. The used material is FDA approved, which indicates that the bits are non-toxic and they do not contain any plasticizers. The Inno Sense bits are available with four different mouth pieces and can be combined with all types of side pieces.
How it works:
When the reins are pulled, the hackamore first acts on the neck, then evenly on the chin and the bridge of the nose. The action takes place via three different points on the horse's head. The Hackamore is usually used without a bit, which is why the tongue is completely relieved with this bridle.
The hackamore must be closed in such a way that there is space for two fingers between the bridge of the nose (not self-supporting nasal bone) and the noseband. The cheek piece is buckled into the upper ring, the reins into the lower ring at the end of the side part.
If necessary, a bit can also be buckled in with so-called hackamore combination so that all four pressure points on the horse's head can be used. Recommended for horses that have an injury in the mouth or run dissatisfied with a bit or pressure on the tongue. Not suitable for young horses and beginners. With bitless bridles, unilateral rein aids are only possible to a limited extent. The rider should therefore be able to ride his horse through the turn with cross and thigh aids.

My chestnut mare is quite difficult because she is mostly afraid of the spooky obstacles and the spectators too. All in all she is a soft horse but in some cases her mouth is hard and I need some extra power in order to control her. The simple bits didn’t really fit her because I need to ‘pull her up’ during the jumps due to her slow front legs and this combi bit seems to be the best solution so far! Soft and flexible inner piece and the long shank provides better contact with the horse.
I've been cascading through different combo bits, and this one is the right amount of leverage with the long shank, but also accommodates a sensitive mouth.
