Velari Gag Full Cheek Single Jointed Cherry Roller Sweet Iron - combines the lateral stability of full cheek sides with gag action and a single-jointed sweet iron mouthpiece featuring movable cherry rollers. The extended cheek arms stabilize the bit laterally in the horse's mouth and support clear directional guidance, making the design particularly relevant for younger or less balanced horses developing straightness, balance and shoulder control.

When engaged, the gag mechanism provides an upward action together with additional influence behind the poll. At the same time, the single-jointed mouthpiece provides direct transmission of the rein aids. The sweet iron naturally oxidises during use and, according to the manufacturer, the taste that develops can encourage salivation and active mouthing.

The movable cherry rollers add further activity within the mouth. They discourage the horse from taking hold of or bracing against the bit while their movement keeps the tongue and jaw active. This makes the Velari Gag Full Cheek Single Jointed Cherry Roller Sweet Iron particularly suitable for horses that become strong, lean onto the forehand or tend to grab the bit.
