Velari Gag Eggbutt Flex with Tongue Port Hard - is designed for horses that benefit from clear, consistent communication and additional tongue room. Its firm Flex Hard mouthpiece provides a more defined connection with the rider's hand, making it particularly relevant for horses that tend to lean, become heavy in the contact, or respond insufficiently to softer mouthpieces.

As the reins are taken up, the gag action allows the bit to move upward in the mouth, creating progressive pressure at the corners of the lips and behind the poll. According to the manufacturer, the Flex Hard mouthpiece is constructed from a firm, non-toxic synthetic material, providing clearly defined feedback without relying on a traditional metal mouthpiece. It maintains its shape under pressure for a consistent and stable signal.

The integrated tongue port creates additional room for the tongue and shifts part of the pressure towards the bars. This makes the Velari Gag Eggbutt Flex with Tongue Port Hard particularly suitable for horses with tongue sensitivity or a tendency to place the tongue over or around the bit. Due to its gag action, this model is intended especially for experienced riders who can apply the aids with appropriate feel and timing.
