Velari Eggbutt Flex Double Jointed Medium - combines a double-jointed Flex mouthpiece with the quiet, stable positioning of Eggbutt rings. The double-jointed construction distributes pressure evenly across the tongue and bars, while the fixed Eggbutt rings keep the mouthpiece more stable in the horse's mouth. This creates a consistent and clearly defined connection for horses that prefer a quieter bit.

The 18 mm mouthpiece features a firm synthetic coating with a rigid core. According to the manufacturer, the material is non-toxic, horse-safe and suitable for long-term use. Its smooth, non-metallic surface avoids the cold feel associated with traditional metal mouthpieces while allowing clear transmission of the rein aids. The double-jointed construction follows the shape of the horse's mouth and reduces the nutcracker effect associated with single-jointed bits.

By reducing upward movement towards the roof of the mouth, the double-jointed construction is particularly suitable for horses with a lower palate according to the manufacturer.
