Velari Eggbutt Double Jointed Sweet Copper - combines a double-jointed mouthpiece made from nickel-free Sweet Copper with fixed Eggbutt sides. The double-jointed construction distributes pressure evenly across the tongue and bars, while the Eggbutt rings keep the mouthpiece quiet and stable in the horse's mouth. This creates a soft, consistent connection with clear and reliable rein aids.

According to the manufacturer, the Sweet Copper mouthpiece provides a warm, naturally sweet taste that stimulates salivation and can help sensitive horses remain soft and accepting in the contact. Sweet Copper does not oxidise according to the manufacturer, allowing it to maintain its smooth surface and consistent flavour over time.

The double-jointed design reduces the nutcracker effect associated with single-jointed mouthpieces and follows the natural contours of the horse's mouth more evenly. Its reduced upward movement towards the roof of the mouth can also make it suitable for horses with a lower palate according to the manufacturer.
