Velari 3 Rings Bit with Tongue Port Hard - combines a firm synthetic mouthpiece with an integrated tongue port and a versatile 3-ring configuration. The Hard version provides more pronounced feedback than the softer Flex options and is particularly suited to horses that become strong in the hand or tend to lean on softer mouthpieces. The different rein attachment points allow the intensity of the action to be adjusted according to the selected position.

The mouthpiece is made from a firm synthetic material described by the manufacturer as non-toxic and suitable for long-term use. Despite its increased firmness, the surface remains smooth and rounded, while the rigid inner core allows the mouthpiece to maintain its shape under pressure. This provides a clearly defined, non-metal alternative for horses that require more precise communication.

The integrated tongue port creates additional space through the centre of the mouthpiece and redistributes part of the pressure away from the tongue towards the bars. This can particularly benefit horses with tongue sensitivity as well as horses that tend to stick their tongue out. The stable construction supports consistent and clearly defined transmission of the rein aids.

The 3-ring construction combines a lifting effect with leverage. The intensity of the action depends on the selected rein attachment point. When the reins are attached to the bottom ring, taking up the rein activates a short lever.
