Gel Bit Guard (as used by Scott Brash!)

Acavallo Gel Bit Guard - great protection on any bit and an asset to those training young or difficult horses. This gel bit guard is a quick and effective way to protect the horse's mouth from pinching and to gain more bit control. Its contoured gel protectors mold comfortably around the mouthpiece inside of the bit rings and minimize friction and rubbing. These unique guards keep the bit perfectly straight in the hose's mouth allowing for better turning and more responsiveness. 

When inserting onto the bit, the guards should be wet to prevent breakage.
