Description
Unika Ball Endurance - formulated to meet the increased needs of the endurance racing horse. The formula has been designed to easily provide energy to the horse. It contains a high content of fat from raw materials, such as rice flour, which is naturally rich in Gamma Oryzanol, a substance known to stimulate muscle growth during periods of stress. Enriched with electrolytes that are completely soluble in water to balance the increased loss of salts due to sweating. It contains magnesium, known to reduce the occurrence, in tired horses, of the phenomenon called "flutter".
Amino acids help reduce the presence of lactic acid in the muscles, promoting intestinal motility. Supplementation with coconut oil (MTC) allows the energy from fatty acids to enter directly into the lymphatic circulation, without generating a digestion process. This phenomenon benefits metabolism during the race, as the horse finds an energy reserve that can be spent throughout the race without generating lactic acid.
Composition: Maltodextrin, Wheat Flour, Rice Bran (Rice Germ), Vegetable Oils and Fats (Soybean Oil)*, Coconut Oil, Sodium Chloride, Potassium Chloride, Magnesium Citrate. (*Genetically modified soy).
Analytical components (on a dry matter basis): Crude Protein 7.5; Crude Ash 4.9; Crude Fiber 4.5; Crude Fat 10; Sodium 0.1.
Additives (all expressed in mg/kg of product): Compound of Trace Elements: 3b405 Copper (Copper (II) sulfate pentahydrate) 10; 3b503 Manganese (Manganese sulfate monohydrate) 40; 3b605 Zinc (Zinc sulfate monohydrate) 32. Amino acids, their salts and analogues: 3c451 L-Glutamine 2 000.

Unika Balls are available in 5 different types to meet horses’ most common needs: Unika Balls – Elyte: it has been conceived to provide horses with mineral salts, which are essential throughout the year to replenish those horses lose through sweat. Unika Balls – Gastro: it has been conceived for horses with sensitive stomachs. It contains some important phytotherapic ingredients, such as charcoal and liquorice, which are useful to maintain gastric well-being. Unika Balls Gastro is a valuable ally for all horses somatising anxiety as gastric distress, for it stimulates production of saliva, which is alkaline and, therefore, naturally counteracts gastric acidity. Unika Balls – Herbs: itcontains a blend of balsamic herbs, such as thyme, rosemary and mint. Unika Balls – Prequalm: it contains magnesium, passion flower and lemon balm and is, therefore, conceived for all horses needing to increase their serenity and better control their emotions. Unika Balls – Crib Biting it contains vegetable substances improving salivation by physiologically increasing the amount of produced saliva. Saliva is alkaline and, therefore, once in the stomach, it physiologically helps reducing gastric acidity, thus improving the horse’s overall well-being. Improving gastric conditions in crib-biting horses results in an increase in their live weight, an improvement of their coat shininess and in an improvement of both their looks and overall well-being. But that’s not all. Unika Balls are handmade, made in Italy products, which are made of 93% vegetable ingredients. They are rich in fine raw materials, such as rice and soy, and do not contain cereals or sugars: that is why they may also be provided to cereal-intolerant horses, horses eating low glycemic index diets and sporthorses carrying out intense muscular activity. Indeed, sporthorses’ sugar intake should be reduced as much as possible, for sugars would increase lactic acid production. (Since each horse has its own peculiarities feeds and complementary feeds should always be introduced in its diet gradually).
