This makes the bit particularly suited to horses that appreciate a straightforward action with a clearly defined contact.

The Sweet Iron mouthpiece naturally oxidises during use and develops a light patina over time. According to the manufacturer, this process encourages natural salivation and can help promote acceptance and relaxation in the mouth. When the reins are taken, the single-jointed mouthpiece forms a V-shape and distributes pressure across the tongue and bars.
