eQuick eArtik Cooling Boots - a therapeutic 20 minute ice boots designed for cooling your horses' legs after exercise. Equipped with 3 generous Velcro straps, the boots are easy to put on and adjust to individually fit each horse's legs. The perfect shape of the boots ensures they sit in the correct position. 

IDEAL FOR COLD AND HOT TREATMENT

One of the most effective therapies, not only in horses but for all sports people, cold therapy is brilliant for alleviating soft tissue related aches and pains associated with hard work or strenuous effort. When a horse is working hard, capillaries, tendons and ligaments expand and when work stops, that excess flow can persist. With cold therapy we can close up the vessels, and restore the post workout circulatory conditions. Cold therapy can also become a daily treatment for your horse to help prevent injuries. 

Ideal to treat:
Hematomas, sprains, injuries, and whenever cold application is required. You can also treat strains, ligament and tendon damage.

How to use the eArtik?

Cold Therapy:

Put the gelatin bags or the entire package in the freezer for at least 2 hours.

When necessary take them out from the freezer, put them on the pockets of the eArtik boots and apply on the legs of the horse.

Normally we suggest an application of 20 minutes but you must ask to your vet about the time of application.

Hot Therapy:

You can also use the eArtik gelatin bags for hot treatment if required.

Put the gelatin bags in the microwave for max 1 minute at 650W.

Take them out and apply where required.

 

You should consult with your veterinarian prior to applying any of the above treatments. Whether you are applying cold, heat or a combination of both, always use caution.

The gelatin pads are reusable and completely non-toxic.

Incredibly easy to use and easy to wash. Simply remove the gelatin bags and wash the boots on 30°C. We recommend closing the Velcro straps when washing.  

You can carry your eArtik set of boots in the provided bag and keep them clean. Perfect to use at home and also during the shows.
