Trust Inno Sense Hackamore Combi Short Mullen - This cheekpiece is a combination of a hackamore and a bit. The hackamore combination is a cheekpiece with leverage and gives pressure on the nose, chin and in the mouth. The longer the shanks of the hackamore the stronger the effect. This combination with short shanks has a milder effect than the hackamore combi long. These bits are often used with very enthusiastic horses in the ring.

The Inno Sense Mullen mouthpiece is a straight bar with a slight tilt to the front. The mouthpiece is made from elastic plastic  which has a rigid core. That makes it less pliable than the Flexi Soft, but it still has a soft touch to it.

The Inno Sense collection kann be used for all types of horses, but are very suitable for young horses, as well as those that are very sensitive in the mouth. The used material is FDA approved, which indicates that the bits are non-toxic and they do not contain any plasticizers. The Inno Sense bits are available with four different mouth pieces and can be combined with all types of side pieces. 

How it works:

When the reins are pulled, the hackamore first acts on the neck, then evenly on the chin and the bridge of the nose. The action takes place via three different points on the horse's head. The Hackamore is usually used without a bit, which is why the tongue is completely relieved with this bridle.

The hackamore must be closed in such a way that there is space for two fingers between the bridge of the nose (not self-supporting nasal bone) and the noseband. The cheek piece is buckled into the upper ring, the reins into the lower ring at the end of the side part. 

If necessary, a bit can also be buckled in with so-called hackamore combination so that all four pressure points on the horse's head can be used. Recommended for horses that have an injury in the mouth or run dissatisfied with a bit or pressure on the tongue. Not suitable for young horses and beginners. With bitless bridles, unilateral rein aids are only possible to a limited extent. The rider should therefore be able to ride his horse through the turn with cross and thigh aids.
