Pelham with Comfort Bar - this Pelham is a combination of the Weymouth and the Bradoon and should normally be used with 2 reins. The first rein is attached to the snaffle and the second rein is attached to the ring at the bottom of the shank. When the first rein is used the bit acts like a hanging cheek snaffle. It puts slight pressure on the poll whilst using even pressure across the tongue. When the second rein is engaged the leverage and lip pressure is increased and it also activates the curb chain. The longer the shank length the more leverage is applied.
The Comfort Straight bar is a very mild mouthpiece. With this type of mouth piece the pressure on the mouth doesn't change very much as it is a fixed mouthpiece. This bit is great for horses who are very soft in the mouth, don't like complicated mouthpieces but who need a bit of extra leverage.
Available in Soft or Hard with two different shank lengths: 5cm or 7cm
Sizes: 100mm, 110mm, 120mm, 130mm or 140mm
