Searching for a hoof balm that will improve your horses hooves? The Equidura hoof balm will do just that! The hoof balm promotes hoof growth and elasticity of the hoof horn and is designed for all problem hooves!
The hoof balm controls the amount of moisture in the horn of the hoof, meaning that whether the hoof is to soft or to hard the hoof balm will keep the hoof healthy. Equidura not only puts a layer of balm on the hoof surface, but it also penetrates deeply into the hoof wall to harden the hoof from the inside.
In summer the hoof balm will protect your horses hooves from becoming to dry by restoring the moisture content of the hoof horn. As the hoof horn recovers its elasticity it means that it will prevent problems such as cracks as well as brittle hooves.
Below are detailed instructions on how to apply the hoof balm depending on the condition of your horses hooves.
Hooves are too dry:
Firstly soak your horses hooves with water for several minutes then apply the hoof balm to the hoof wall and coronet only. Do not put hoof balm on the sole or frog.
Hooves are too soft:
Apply the hoof balm directly to the hooves and coronet band. Also apply to the hoof sole and frog if necessary. The frog should be dry and healthy. For horses who live outside or if riding on wet ground, apply the hoof balm prior to riding.
To keep your horses hooves healthy apply daily to the hoof wall and coronet band and if necessary the sole and frog.
Note: Daily use improves strength and elasticity of the hooves.
If you also apply a 2 cm layer of Equidura® in the coat above the coronet band, it will run down along the hoof wall for hours because of the body warmth. This makes it very effective for long-term care.
