Dressage Girth with Lambskin Comfort

Kavalkade Dressage Girth with Lambskin Comfort - this short girth with lambskin has the same cut as our Soft Leather Comfort girth with the added soft touch of sheepskin making it the ideal choice for sensitive skinned horses. The breastplate is much wider to optimise the distribution of pressure. The sides are narrow so as not to interfere with the horse's freedom of movement.

Why use lambskin? For one thing, it has an anti-allergic effect and is antiseptic, which means that horses with sensitive skin can also wear it. In addition, lambskin promotes blood circulation in the horses' muscles. Due to its natural creation, the fur literally massages the muscles when riding. Moreover, heat build-up does not develop under medical lambskin. Due to the natural creation, the fur has a temperature balancing effect and the horses do not sweat so quickly underneath. A genuine lambskin girth also has the special property of being dimensionally stable. This means that the fur straightens up again after every ride. Despite perspiration, the shape is retained.

Application of the Comfort Short Girth Lambskin:
The Comfort Short Girth with lambskin is of course suitable for sensitive horses. On the one hand, the wide breastplate makes the girth generally more comfortable for the horse. On the other hand, the lambskin ensures even better distribution and air circulation than other materials on the horse.
Lambskin girths are often used on sensitive horses, which usually react sensitively to pressure. Here, lambskin distributes pressure evenly and comfortably like no other material. As described above, real lambskin offers many advantages in use.
However, one thing to consider with lambskin is the stability of the saddle. If the horse generally already has difficulties with the saddle slipping or giving to the side, a lambskin girth is difficult to use. This is because lambskin girths can never be buckled as tightly as other materials, as the lambskin always provides a springy buffer between the horse's body and the girth.
