Velari Gag Loose Ring Single Jointed Cherry Roller Sweet Iron - combines a single-jointed sweet iron mouthpiece with movable cherry rollers, loose rings and gag action. This combination is designed for horses that tend to lean, pull or take hold of the bit while benefiting from a clear and mobile connection with the rider's hand.

As the reins are taken up, the gag action allows the bit to move upward in the mouth, creating progressive pressure at the corners of the lips together with corresponding action behind the poll. The loose rings provide additional freedom of movement for the mouthpiece. At the same time, the single-jointed construction provides direct transmission of the rein aids, while the gag design offers additional support for balance and head carriage.

The mouthpiece is made from sweet iron, which naturally oxidises during use and, according to the manufacturer, can encourage salivation through the taste that develops. The independently moving cherry rollers discourage the horse from taking hold of or bracing against the bit while encouraging additional tongue activity. Due to the combination of gag action, movable rollers and a single-jointed mouthpiece, this model is particularly suited to experienced riders with a sensitive and controlled hand.
