Velari Full Cheek Flex with Tongue Port Soft - combines a soft Flex mouthpiece with a tongue port and fixed Full Cheek sides. The Full Cheek construction stabilises the mouthpiece in the horse's mouth and provides additional lateral guidance, allowing the rein aids to be transmitted clearly and consistently. Young or less experienced horses can particularly benefit from this steady guidance while learning to accept consistent contact and respond to lateral aids.

The Flex Soft mouthpiece is designed particularly for horses that react sensitively or with tension to conventional metal bits. According to the manufacturer, its smooth outer layer is made from a toxin-free synthetic compound, while the flexible inner core provides enough give to adapt naturally with movement in the horse's mouth. At the same time, the mouthpiece maintains its shape under pressure, preserving a clear line of communication. This combination is suited to horses that prefer a softer feel without losing defined rein aids.

The integrated tongue port creates additional space through the centre of the mouthpiece and redirects part of the pressure away from the tongue towards the bars. This can benefit horses with tongue sensitivity as well as those that stick their tongue out or attempt to avoid tongue pressure. According to the manufacturer, the construction is also suitable for horses that tend to lean or become heavy.
