Velari Eggbutt Single Jointed Cherry Roller Sweet Iron - combines a single-jointed sweet iron mouthpiece with movable cherry rollers and stable eggbutt sides. The fixed rings keep the mouthpiece quieter in the horse's mouth and reduce excessive lateral movement. This makes the bit particularly suitable for horses that prefer a stable, consistent connection while benefiting from additional activity in the mouth.

The 16 mm mouthpiece is made from nickel-free sweet iron, which naturally oxidises during use. According to the manufacturer, the resulting taste can encourage salivation and acceptance of the bit. The movable cherry rollers discourage the horse from taking hold of or bracing against the mouthpiece while simultaneously increasing tongue activity. This makes the design particularly relevant for horses that become strong in the hand or tend to grab the bit.

When the reins are taken up, the single-jointed mouthpiece forms a V-shape and provides direct transmission of the aids. According to the manufacturer, pressure is distributed across the bars while relieving the tongue through the centre, making the construction particularly suitable for horses with a higher palate. The fixed eggbutt sides provide additional stability and minimise the risk of pinching at the corners of the mouth.
