Velari Eggbutt Flex with Tongue Port Hard - is designed for horses that require a clearer, firmer connection with the rider's hand while also benefiting from additional tongue room. The firm synthetic mouthpiece provides more pronounced feedback than softer Flex versions, while the fixed Eggbutt rings keep the bit quiet and stable in the horse's mouth.

The mouthpiece is made from a firm synthetic material described by the manufacturer as non-toxic and suitable for long-term use. Despite its increased firmness, the surface remains smooth and rounded. This provides a non-metal alternative for horses that need more defined communication without the feel of a traditional metal mouthpiece.

The integrated tongue port creates additional space through the centre of the mouthpiece and redistributes part of the pressure away from the tongue towards the bars. At the same time, the mouthpiece maintains its shape under pressure, providing stable and consistent feedback. This design can particularly benefit horses that lean on softer bits, become heavy in the hand or show sensitivity to tongue pressure.

The fixed Eggbutt rings limit excessive lateral movement and reduce the risk of pinching at the corners of the mouth. This creates a quiet, consistent connection with precise transmission of the rein aids.
